Powering Transit to the Roosevelt Neighborhood
This Link Light Rail station added another connection to Seattle's growing transportation network.
Built adjacent to Roosevelt High School, the station features four levels underground and one above, with a design that features as much daylight possible to light the way for passengers. Another unique feature was the preservation of the iconic Standard Radio neon sign, which was restored and incorporated into the completed station. Much of the 126,000 SF station was completed underground, totaling 90 feet deep, 500 feet long, and 80 feet wide. VECA performed general electrical distribution, underground electrical, lighting, systems, building management system, access control, CCTV, and fire alarm.
