World-wide, World-class Baggage Handling System
With a structure five times larger than before, the substantial new International Arrivals Facility (IAF) can accommodate the arrival of 2,600 passengers an hour.

Thousands of passengers means thousands of luggage pieces that need to safely reach their next destination, and our team specializing in Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) was brought on for construction of both inbound and outbound baggage handling conveyor systems. The two distinct scopes (inbound and outbound) were designed using two different types of control systems—the traditional MCP-style conveyor controls and new CSC control systems. Scope also included installing conveyor power and control systems, the build-out of a new temporary Checked Baggage Resolution Area (CBRA), and tie-ins to existing conveyor systems. VECA developed streamlined processes for preassembly and prefabrication on this project, such as our system for kitting cables, to maximize efficiency.
