Innovative, Integrated, and Sustainability-Minded Patient Care
This expansion at the Good Samaritan Hospital featured a nine-story, 350,000 SF patient care tower within an occupied medical campus.

Totaling 160 patient rooms, other features included an emergency department, imaging, surgery, a 10,000 SF Central Utility Plant, and a 400-car parking garage. A new skybridge was installed which connected the new building to an existing hospital facility. VECA assisted with designs for the Cath Lab, CT Scan, Digital Radiology and Nuclear Med Labs. BIM coordination was utilized heavily to review constructability and clash detection, working closely with the general contractor and other MEP trades. This was Washington’s first LEED Gold Hospital.
